Why is using a snow brush bad for your car?

No one likes to dig out their car from the snow, but you shouldn’t use a snow brush or broom to remove the snow. Why?.... because it can leave some serious scrapes, scratches, or even chip the paint. The bristles on the brushes are stiff and abrasive and could have dirt or salt between the bristles that can drag on the paint!

Alternatives: For the windshield and glass, I like to coat them with a glass coating and have the defrosters on when warming up the car! For the paint, the best bet is to keep the car covered, but many people do not have the option park in a garage. When I have a lot of snow on the car, I use a battery powered leaf blower to blow the snow off the paint. It does a great removing the snow. The remaining snow/ice stuck on the paint will melt off as you are warming up the car!
